Through The Storm

Worship Song of the Week

Photobucket

"Through The Storm"

Written and Performed By:  Josh Neyman

Lord I’ve failed you I know that I’ve done wrong
This trial I’m facing I can’t do on my own
Satan’s raging he’s pulling me down
Trying to defeat me and hold me to the ground
God you’re still stronger never let me down
I’m gonna serve You even when I’m down

And I will praise You through the storm
And I will for I am not alone
And though the devil tries to remind me of my past
I know I’m Yours and I’m free at last
And I will sing praises to Your throne
Cause You are God alone

You may feel there is no hope in sight
And you may feel your unworthy of God’s might
But in the midst of the storm there is a great light
Conquering the darkness there is no more night
Just a voice of the Savior and He’s holding out His hand
He says child come to me your still worthy of the Lamb

The Worship Song of the Week this week is by my very close friend Josh Neyman.  Josh is 22 years old and has been singing for the Lord for at least the last 7 years on a full time basis but has always used his talent for God. "Through The Storm" is just one of the many great songs written by Josh and he so graciously asked me to help with the background vocals.  If you have not ever heard Josh minister in person you really should check out his schedule and go see him sometime.  It will be a blessing!  You can find out more about Josh at www.joshneyman.com.

Hope you enjoy!

When I Speak Your Name

Worship Song of the Week
Photobucket

"When I Speak Your Name"
Written By: Elizabeth Clark
Performed By: Indiana Bible College

Jesus, the most beautiful name of all names
Jesus, the only name that brings healing and strength
When I speak Your Name, mountains move, chains are loosed
When I speak Your Name, darkness flees, it has no hold on me

Jesus, the most beautiful name that I know
You're the exalted One
Jesus, You have the power alone
You lift the lonely one, Jesus

Jesus, the most wonderful name of all names
Jesus, the only name that brings freedom and hope
When I speak Your Name, mountains move, chains are loosed
When I speak Your Name, darkness flees, it has no hold on me

Jesus, the most beautiful name that I know
You're the exalted One
Jesus, You have the power alone
You lift the lonely one
You lift the lonely one, Jesus

Be exalted, be exalted, be exalted higher and higher
Be exalted, be exalted, be exalted higher and higher
Be exalted, be exalted, be exalted higher and higher
Be exalted, be exalted, be exalted higher and higher

I absolutely LOVE this song.... I listen to it over and over when I am at work.  There are times throughout my day that I just need to speak HIS name.... just the name of Jesus is the most loving and peaceful name I have ever known....
This version is my favorite... this girl's voice is amazing....

Hope you enjoy!

No Not One

Worship Song of The Week

Photobucket

"No Not One"
Written and Performed By:  Brandon Heath

No better word than from your lips
No perfect life than what you lived
No greater gift, no not one

No brighter star has ever shined
No better hope for all mankind
No higher mind, no not one

No one has ever known
This kind of love you’ve shown

There has never been a greater love
Than your son
No. Not one
And there’ll never be a name above
No, Not one
With his life you have forgiven us
Hope has come
Hope has come
And there will never be a greater love
No, Not one

No image true or sweeter frame
No simple word can match your name
No greater fame
No not one

No one has ever seen
The depth of your majesty

Chorus

No greater call
You gave us all a reason to live
No greater love
You gave us all a reason to give
No greater life
You gave us all a reason to shine
No greater love
Forever mine

I just love songs that point you directly to the cross.  This song does not mention the cross... but the one that gave His life there.  There has never been a greater love than Jesus.. No Not One....

Hope you enjoy!

Hallelujah

Worship Song of The Week

Photobucket

"Hallelujah"
Written and Performed By: Tenth Avenue North

At first I am afraid but not because of fear
But the Holy of Holies is drawing me near
Your voice like thunder shakes the ground I'm on

So hide my face in the shadow of Your wings, oh Lord
Hide my sin from the beauty here before Your throne
Your throne

Hallelujah for the blood of the Lamb that was slain
Hallelujah for the blood of the Lamb that was slain
And so we enter in to see Your face, yeah
We enter in to see Your face, oh God

Well I'm falling to my knees. I feel the earth beneath
With the weight of my sin, and this crushing unbelief
Could You really love me with all that I've done, oh Lord

You spread Your hands
And made a refuge for the weak and blessed
The weary, bruised, and broken
Took our sin. Inside Your wounds we hide away
Inside Your wounds we hide

The first time I heard this song... I LOVED it.... and I wasn't sure exactly why yet....
Then I really began to listen to it....
"Hallelujah for the blood of the Lamb that was slain" is enough to shout about....
But when I heard the line that says " Inside Your wounds we hide away
Inside Your wounds we hide"

I could not imagine that we hide in HIS wounds....
But we do.... He makes a way for us to hide from all things that are not of God and even hide from God himself.....
Take time to watch the video below posted by Tenth Avenue North about the meaning behind this song....

Your Hands

Worship Song Of the Week

Photobucket

"Your Hands"

Performed by: JJ Heller

I have unanswered prayers
I have trouble I wish wasn't there
And I have asked a thousand ways
That You would take my pain away
That You would take my pain away

I am trying to understand
How to walk this weary land
Make straight the paths that crookedly lie
Oh Lord, before these feet of mine
Oh Lord, before these feet of mine

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave Your hands

When You walked upon the Earth
You healed the broken, lost, and hurt
I know You hate to see me cry
One day You will set all things right
Yea, one day You will set all things right

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave Your hands

Your hands
Your hands that shape the world
Are holding me, they hold me still
Your hands that shape the world
Are holding me, they hold me still

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave You when...

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave...
I never leave Your hands

When Love Takes You In

Worship Song of the Week…

Photobucket

“When Love Takes You In”

Written and Performed By: Steven Curtis Chapman

I know you’ve heard the stories

But they all sound too good to be true

You’ve heard about a place called home

But there doesn’t seem to be one for you

So one more night you cry yourself to sleep

And drift off to a distant dream

Where love takes you in and everything changes

A miracle starts with the beat of a heart

When love takes you home and says you belong here

The loneliness ends and a new life begins

When love takes you in

And somewhere while you’re sleeping
Someone else is dreaming too

Counting down the days until

They hold you close and say I love you

And like the rain that falls into the sea
In a moment what has been is lost in what will be

When love takes you in everything changes

A miracle starts with the beat of a heart

And this love will never let you go

There is nothing that could ever
cause this love to lose its hold
When love takes you in everything changes

A miracle starts with the beat of a heart

When love takes you home and says you belong here

The loneliness ends and a new life begins

When love takes you in it takes you in for good

When love takes you in

This song has been such a blessing to me over the last almost 5 years. The first time I heard it was on a DVD that I watched from American World Adoption Association (the agency we used to adopt Nora).
This week has been one of joy and of sorrow for the last couple of years.

On September 13, 2008 I flew to China to bring Nora home. On September 13, 2009 I lost my mom after a 3 year battle with cancer.
Tomorrow will be 2 years since I saw my beautiful daughter for the first time. I am so very thankful for the year that God gave me with my mom and Nora. Last week I started helping my best friend Sherri with Operation Giggle (www.operationgiggle.blogspot.com) so my mind has been on orphans and widows this week. I enjoy helping with this ministry as I know this is close to God’s heart.

James 1:27 says “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”

I believe we are ALL called to this ministry.

What have you done lately to help someone that is in need?

Amazing Grace

Worship Song of the Week…

Photobucket

“Amazing Grace”

Written By: English poet and clergyman John Newton (1725-1807)
Performed By: Rhema Marvanne

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

T'was Grace that taught...
my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear...
the hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares...
we have already come.
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.

The Lord has promised good to me...
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be...
as long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
and mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,
a life of joy and peace.

When we've been here ten thousand years...
bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise...
then when we've first begun.

I don’t believe I have to tell you why I LOVE this song… God’s grace is simply….Amazing…..
I love this version by 7 year old Rhema Marvanne. Her voice is just amazing. She lost her mother to ovarian cancer 2 years ago at the age of 6. Take time to visit her website at www.rhemamarvanne.com or check her out on YouTube. Such an amazing little girl….

The Real Me...

Worship Song of the Week…

Photobucket

"The Real Me"

Written and Performed By: Natalie Grant

Foolish heart looks like we're here again
Same old game of plastic smile
Don't let anybody in
Hiding my heartache
Will this glass house break?
How much will they take
Before I'm empty
Do I let it show?
Does anybody know?

Chorus:
But You see the real me
Hiding in my skin
Broken from within
Unveil me completely
I'm loosening my grasp
There's no need to mask my frailty
Oh, Cause You see the real me

Painted on
Life is behind a mask
Self-inflicted circus clown
I'm tired of the song and dance
Living a charade
Always on parade
What a mess I've made of my existence
But You love me even now
And still I see somehow

Chorus:
But You see the real me
Hiding in my skin,
Broken from within
Unveil me completely
I'm loosening my grasp
There's no need to mask my frailty
Oh, Cause You see the real me

Bridge:
Wonderful, beautiful
Is what You see
When You look at me
You're turning the tattered fabric of my life into
A perfect tapestry

Oh, I just wanna be me
I wanna be me

Chorus
Cause You see the real me
Hiding in my skin
Broken from within
Unveil me completely
I'm loosening my grasp
There's no need to mask my frailty
Oh, Cause You see the real me
And You love me
Just as I am
Wonderful, beautiful
Is what You see
When You look at me

I am so glad that God, the creator of this universe really knows the real me. No one else on this earth knows me like HE does. And it’s probably a good thing… because even my closest family and friends might not like the “real” me… yet God still loves me just like I am…

Jesus Paid It All...

Worship Song of the Week...

Jesus Paid It All

Photobucket

Written By: Elvina Hall (1822-1899)

Performed By: The Ramp Worship Band

I hear the Savior say,
"Thy strength indeed is small;
Child of weakness, watch and pray,
Find in Me thine all in all."

Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.

For nothing good have I
Whereby Thy grace to claim,
I'll wash my garments white
In the blood of Calv'ry's Lamb.

And now complete in Him
My robe His righteousness,
Close sheltered 'neath His side,
I am divinely blest.

Lord, now indeed I find
Thy power and Thine alone,
Can change the leper's spots
And melt the heart of stone.

When from my dying bed
My ransomed soul shall rise,
"Jesus died my soul to save,"
Shall rend the vaulted skies.

And when before the throne
I stand in Him complete,
I'll lay my trophies down
All down at Jesus' feet.

Bridge

Oh, praise the One who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead

I had the opportunity to go the The Ramp in April of this year (first time) and it was an amazing experience. There is something about when you drive into Hamilton, Alabama... not just when you walk into the building. The power of God is unexplainable. When I was there in April the worship team did this old hymn "Jesus Paid It All" and I LOVE this version... I am also glad that Jesus Paid it ALL for me.....

I hope this blesses you as much as it has me...

How He Loves Us...

Worship Song of the Week….

Photobucket

How He Loves Us

Written By: John Mark McMillan (Performed By: Kim Walker)

He is jealous for me
Loves like a hurricane
I am a tree
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy
When all of a sudden I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by Glory
And I realize just how beautiful you are and how great your affections are for me

Oh how he loves us, so
Oh How he loves us, how he loves us so

He is jealous for me
Loves like a hurricane
I am a tree
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy
When all of a sudden I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by Glory
And I realize just how beautiful you are and how great your affections are for me

And oh, how he loves us so,
Oh how he loves us, how he loves us so

Yeah he loves us
Oh how he loves us
Oh how he loves us
Oh how he loves

We are his portion and he is our prize
Drawn to redemption by the grace in his eyes
If grace is an ocean we’re all sinking
So, heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets when I think about the way

He loves us
Oh how he loves us
Oh how he loves us
Oh how he loves

Yeah, he loves us
Oh how he loves us
Oh how he loves us
Oh how he loves

Yeah

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
He loves us
Oh how he loves us
Oh how he loves us
Oh how he loves

I love this song. I love how it reminds me how much He does love his children. My Pastor explains this song so well. It’s hard to get excited about “Oh How I Love Jesus”…. But I can really get excited about how much “He Loves Us”…. Because we will never truly know how much he loves us…. Even when all things are revealed….

Hope you enjoy…
