Proverb of the day... (MeMe's Legacy)

My mother was a huge influence in my walk with Christ.  She took me to church from the time I was born.  She lead me to the Lord.  She lived a true Christian life in front of her children, family and friends. But most of all in the last few months of her life she taught me what it meant to seek wisdom.  She was a true "virtuous woman" as so described in Proverbs 31.

She taught the elderly ladies Sunday School class at our church and the last 2 years of her life taught more in Proverbs than any other book that I can remember.  Her vision became worse in the last year so she would have me read scripture and then she would teach.  If you have not ever read a lot in Proverbs.... try it sometimes.  It can be hard to read.  But I promise you.... the book is filled with such wisdom and sometimes just common sense!  

After my mom passed away I decided to do like she had always told me to do and read a chapter of Proverbs every day.  There are 31 chapters and normally 30 or 31 days in a month (28 in February except for Leap year there are 29).  So even if there are less than 31 days you can still read the remaining chapter(s) on the last day of the month.

So I have decided to share the wisdom that GOD is (trying) to give me.  I am going to post my favorite verse from the perspective chapter I am reading each day here on my blog (Proverb of the day...) and on Facebook and Twitter (hopefully) in the hopes that it will help me continue my mother's legacy of seeking God's wisdom daily.  Because the good Lord knows I need it!  =)
